Consumer Price Index (CPI) Dataset Update: Monthly Refreshes and New Access Model
We’re updating how our Australia Consumer Price Index (CPI) dataset is delivered on Snowflake Marketplace.
These changes are designed to support more consistent, high-quality insights and ensure you’re always working with the most up-to-date data.
What’s Changed
To support more consistent, high-quality insights, the CPI dataset has transitioned from fully free access to a paid model with a limited free trial.
This change reflects a key enhancement: the dataset is now refreshed monthly at the start of each month, ensuring you’re working with the most current and reliable data available.
With regular updates and improved data reliability, you can:
- Make more timely, data-driven decisions,
- Reduce the risk of working with outdated economic indicators, and
- Strengthen forecasting, pricing, and analytical models.
The previous CPI dataset was officially retired on Wednesday 15 April, but users who’ve installed it prior to this date will be able to continue access until 15 May, 2026.
How This Impacts You
-
If you have installed the previous version of the CPI dataset, you will eventually lose access on 15 May, 2026.
-
You’ll need to connect to the new CPI data listing to use the data trial.
-
Any pipelines, dashboards, or queries relying on our previous CPI datasets may break unless connected to the new listing.
What You Need To Do
- Reconnect to the new CPI dataset here.
- Update any queries, dashboards, or pipelines to reference the new source.
Continuing Beyond the Trial
If the dataset is valuable to your workflows, it is available on an annual subscription.
